Summer camps are built on trust, energy, and connection, and they can be some of the best memories for our kids. But when emotions escalate or a camper reaches a breaking point, staff are often left asking: “What do we do next?” In this practical and engaging webinar, Secure Environment Consultants equips camp directors and leaders with the tools to confidently manage behavioral crises, recognize early warning signs, and de-escalate tense situations before they become safety incidents. Learn how to support mental health without overstepping boundaries, respond with clarity under pressure, and create a safer camp environment for staff and campers.
In this session, attendees will learn:
A simple, repeatable framework for recognizing early warning signs before behavior escalates into a crisis
Clear, practical de-escalation techniques staff can use in real time to calm situations and maintain control
Guidance on how to support camper mental health while maintaining appropriate boundaries and safety
Tiffany Eagles brings over 20 years of experience as a Special Agent with the FBI, where she specialized in understanding the connection between behavior and violence. During her time in the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit, she developed and delivered training for law enforcement leaders across the country, helping them recognize how behavioral patterns can signal risk and escalation.
As a certified profiler in the Behavioral Analysis Unit, Tiffany worked on complex cases involving concerning and aberrant behavior, supporting agencies in assessing threats and identifying early warning signs. She later served as a Behavioral Analysis Coordinator in the Detroit Division, advising on cases that required deeper behavioral insight and risk evaluation.
Earlier in her career, Tiffany worked as a Correctional Officer, where she was responsible for managing volatile situations, de-escalating conflict, and maintaining safety in high-pressure environments.
Today, Tiffany brings this depth of experience into practical, real-world guidance for organizations like camps—helping leaders and staff better understand behavior, recognize early indicators of escalation, and respond with confidence in the moments that matter most.
